‘Deep Trip’ is the new single from Solar Eyes. It’s a blissful, relaxing track that builds a wall of mind-bending synth sound and layers it with delicately reverberating acoustic guitar and distortion-soaked vocals. You can feel the influence of shoegaze iconic in their sound, but its hazy, lo-fi kaleidoscope of sonic colour is uniquely theirs. They explain that the song came about “after watching ‘True detective’ – the second series, where the girl is playing in the bar. It has a Pink Floyd feel too, the guitar at the end is epic.” You can check out Solar Eyes’ self-titled debut album, which is out via Fierce Panda, now.
